In this blog, A conversation with my students, the teacher tells the students that he wants the students to go to college, graduate and get great jobs. The most important thing he want them to do is be a great person in this world. He want them to be great parents, children, and spouse. He tells them we wants them to be independent and do things for themselves. He doesn't want them to sit back and let another person do the work for them.
He also wants them to take Precalculus and Trigonometry very serious because they are going to have to use those skills they learned in that class in every day life. They need the skills in order to progress to more complex topics.
The article is very true. Teachers should teach the students the basic things they should learn in class, but they should also teach them how to surive in the real world. How to budget your money, how to find a job, and etc...
